Date: Tuesday 13 May 2008........Join us for our 2008 launch event in Bracknell! Vice Chairman Tim Leung will give a demonstration of the new features in Windows 2008. Also, VBUG regulars Steve Wilmot and Ian Pettman will be sharing their experiences of Visual Studio 2008. Steve will give us glimpses of several new features when moving from Visual Studio 2005 to 2008 and .NET 2.0 to .NET 3.5 By covering many new items, there should hopefully be something new for everyone! Ian will speak about the agonies and ecstasies of converting a VB6 application to one that is LINQ based. From 6:30pm onwards, we can offer assistance on installing Visual Studio 2008 if you bring along a laptop. The official start time will be 7pm. There will also be food and refreshments during the evening. During this special launch event, all attendees will receive FREE software! This will include: • A fully licensed version of Visual Studio 2008 standard edition! • A 12 month evaluation of Windows 2008 Enterprise • A voucher for an evaluation version of SQL Server 2008 when released
