VB Web Review

Bruce McKinney's Hardcore Visual Basic is an excellent book for the advanced programmer. However, if you have less than one years experience in using Visual Basic regularly, then this book is not for you. There are tonnes of code examples showing you how to expand the limits of Visual Basic, performing things you never thought possible. Also included with the book is a CD rom with some excellent code, and dll libraries so that you never have to use the Declare Function statement again. Unfortunately Bruce McKinney is not continuing the series, so there will be no new edition for VB 6, however he has created a page with updates and fixes for vb6 at his web site. Some readers may find his constant humour irritating, as well the fact that it completely ignores the Internet and Databases. Despite this, Hard Core Visual Basic is an excellent book. I highly recommend it for the advanced user of VB.
