ActiveX Data Objects
Introduction
What we are going to discuss in this article is Recordset object but you might think why we have chosen to name the article as ActiveX Data Objects (ADO), this is because you must have an idea of ADO technology in order to understand the bits and bytes of Recordset object. So, we will briefly describe the ADO technology before jumping into the details of Recordset object. The intended audience of this article includes VB as well as ASP programmers, you must bear it in your mind that you can get more detailed information about the ADO or any related technology on the Microsoft® site, the only purpose of this article is to describe the new technology in simple and plain English so that more people can access and read this article. I have noticed that many new programmers prefer to search sites other than the Microsoft® site for the help on different newer technologies, may be because these articles are more easily available to the programmers and they don’t have to pay for these articles, moreover, the sample code is provided free of cost unlike Microsoft® where only registered users can access the code related to the newest technologies. So, instead of digging deep into the useless details of why this article was written, let’s see, what’s so important about the ADO technology.

Your information was informative. Even though, i am just a beginner with these types of programming. I also liked the information about the ActiveX control. You are right, if the information that we usually request here, and request it through Microsoft, they will charge for such information, or direct us to another site to purchase something that apparently I will never understand. The above are a set of buttons, icons, and stuff like that is what I would like to learn how to incorporate it into a website, or an examination form. The buttons can represent a series of questions with the answer to pick from such as (a), (b), and with the buttons preceding the letters of the answer. I am truly interested in learning how to place these checkboxes into the form or document that i will be using for my own test-practices.
Plus, another difficulty is the code pattern. Usually, other programs such as java, writes their codes in such a way that it will be hard and time consuming in writing and memorizing it. But, in your area, I see that your codes are a little simpler than others. It ocnveys simple plain english pattern codes. Of course, it also has other characters as variables that is needed for the computer to discern its language. Still, its simpler that other programming sources. Thanks! Hoope you would reply to this message. its a great site for beginners like myself. email me
