Epos Software

    Evening guys,

    I am in need of some help with an exciting epos software that I have been developing over the past year & a half, the software is fully useable and I have it installed in 4 stores of which one has been helping me over the past few months in developing new ideas of which is keeping all my other stores very intrested.

    I am in the dream of creating another epos software for retail outlets that can have everything that they require, i have all the hardware from epos printer, barcode scanner, cashpole display and a PC POS till for testing all the equipment and I am in talks with 2 credit card processing compaines to combine the software to allow credit card functions of which I am trying to get implemented into my current software.

    Bit about me

    I have been developing for the past 5 years and I am aged 22 and live in hertfordshire in the UK. I have worked extra hard on my current software called RMS of which I am very proud of and have learnt alot on how to market/sell/support software, I also have a business partner who has supported me and helped out during the project life and he is on hand to carry on helping. The problem with RMS was that I sold it to each store for a very cut down cost as I wanted to make the software grow of which I do belive and when you see it you will see that it can go far.

    I work full time and of such I have not earnt any real monies out of RMS so here comes the big OUCH! Yes I do not have the money to pay someone to help code with this but I am happy to have some kind of contract or leagal contract to state that who joins will be paid based on the sales of the software. I have many contacts in the epos arena and I do have a company in hertfordshire that  has a huge client base that have asked me before to design custom software and support for them to sell on the basis that it is labled as there own software.

    So if you wanna join a growing venture and prehaps if we get far formulate a proper company for it, then let me know @ richard.thatcher@gmail.com. To make this work we would need people in the UK obviously that can program in VB6 and VB2005. Also people that can commit time & effort and people that are not frigtened to go out there and sell the software if they know of people around that would be in need of it.

    hi

    can you describe the current software, and what you are looking for in an additional prograamer? what skills do you require, would you be getting an additional person to create new apps or build on the existing software, if last one then more info on the current software specs would help.

    Would you be happy to migrate to .NET fully if you supply the hardware allready?

    Obviously due to my recent circumstances, i'm not really up for a long chat.

    Do i have the lastest source code? If so, could you also send me a reg file and database?

    Cheers for the reply guys, Sorry for not talking to you Steve recently have not been online and have not seen you around for a while.

    The functions that need adding in to the current version that we use for takeaway stores is an excellent piece of software and that are a few minor things that need adding in,

    CallerID function that searchs database for known customers.

    Cash drawer function to open drawer.

    Printing to a EPOS printer.

    Upgrade code to .net standard (that would be excellent)

    I am looking at opening a website that will showcase the software, ( I do not have the time at present nor the brains to do this)  but in this age of technology we do need to come up with a nice epos system that is simple to use and easy to intergrate and cheap for people to intergrate into there environment.
