  I will agree this is a good book to start vb with, i brought this as my first vb book after trying to  learn of the web, the book helped me remeber things which the web coudnt, a must read for the beginner to vb!

  The Titile which teaches complete database application using VB on client/server environment
  "Develop an Accounting Package using VB and SQL Server" .This book teaches both Accounting domain ( very essential for ERP domain) , VB ,SQL Server, Network concepts and complete database application development includes Masters, Transactions and Reports.

  such a great book as you said may make me stop thinking about this idea http://www.w3schools.com/downloadwww.htm :D

   they must provide us with it freely and especially here in egypt where we cant really buy books online easly because we dont use credit cards at my area

  if any body know a reseller of this book in egypt pls, inform me

  and if any one want to translate and sell it here pls inform me too.
